[Hange responds from the kitchen, taking it upon themselves to be the one who makes the tea and grabs the snacks today. It has to feel strange, having something foreign growing out of your body and nobody knows how to fix it, so hopefully these small comforts will improve the situation for him just a little....]

Those? Yeah-- they're in the spare room.

[Since Hange lives alone, the second bedroom has become a messy research lab or sorts, stuffed full of whatever items piqued their fancy.]

I filled some vials when we were there. I used one, and another broke on the way home, so I'd say I have... four left?

[ He appreciates it, even if he had made no indication about it being needed. But his anxious body language probably gave it away -- he's holding his own hand, something of an old childhood habit whenever he was lonely or scared, practically cradling it to his chest; it just happens to be the injured one. ]

If it's like they said... if I actually get my fingers back and it's not some weird cursed bullshit that tries to strangle me in my sleep. [ He tries to return it more to the familiar plane of conversation, where he cusses and distrusts everything and makes questionable jokes. It falls a little flat so he gives up. ]

Think it'd work on your eye?

[Hange doesn't respond right away, taking the moment to gather the brewing cups and bring them through to the living area. It just feels like the type of conversation they should be having face to face, rather than yelling it across the apartment.]

If it works for you, I figure there's no harm in trying... it's not like my eye could get any blinder, right?

[Okay there are plenty of things that could go wrong, such as the eye turning into an awful black rocky mass that is painful or overgrows the socket, but we just aren't going to think about those right now!]

I want to wait until your hand stops sprouting though, or whatever you wish to call it.

[ They're probably right. Levi's not in a rush for an answer anyway, and he looks grateful as he takes a mug of tea from them. Exactly what he needs after such a shake-up. What's happening isn't bad, exactly, but it still feels like his body betraying him and he needs some time to process it. ]

[ He grimaces slightly into his tea. ]

Don't call it sprouting. [ Please. ] Yeah, that makes sense.

[ He did also imply they should wait until they know it's safe, so there's no argument here. ]

Alright. Growing?

[Is growing better? It sounds less... living...?]

[But it seems as though the decision has been made on how to follow through on this.]

We'll watch it for now. After it's stopped, assuming it does, we can do some tests on functionality and go from there? Does that sound good?

If not, we could always try to cut it back off, but the Guild Leaders seem to think it's doing no harm...

[guess they will need to wait and see.]

[ Just barely. ]

...yeah. Let's do that.

[ He doesn't feel any particular way about cutting them off at the moment - he's lost his real fingers and he's already gotten used to it - but that might change if they really do grow to be an asset like the leaders seem to think. ]

[ Guess they'll just have to wait for now... and Levi will have to deal with the frustrations of seeing something foreign sprouting out of his body and fight the urge to scrub it until it bleeds. Fun times. ]
